Have 6 weeks to lose 17 lbs. I'm a very healthy person generally-?
so I don't need to hear that it's "unhealthy" or what I'm doing is wrong. I'm 25, 5'8, and I'm 150 lbs. I DO NOT think I'm fat, on the contrary, I have a lot of muscle tone and am very tall and "leggy". I do about 4-5 days of cardio and strength training for over an hour a day. The bottom line is, I need to cut some weight for a bet I made with my boyfriend, and I just need some tips!! Stuff that you guys do to shed weight. I've lost 9lbs water weight after about 8 days of REALLY busting my rear end, but would like to keep up the weight loss, so I can win this thing!
I have cut out:
most dairy, white carbs, ANY pop/soda, mayo/ fatty oils, red meat. I'm drinking V8, Crystal Light (which I know isn't the best, but I don't really like plain water, so CL will do for now). I'm eating a lot of greens, fish and fowl, and some fruit here and there. I am in NO way trying to make this a crash diet and starve myself for 2 weeks, as I DO need energy at the gym everyday. (i've been working out consistently for a little over a year now). Just a few quick ideas that will help maintain and continue my weight-loss. July 15th is weigh in folks!

Betty asks…
What's the healthiest thing to eat at a Chinese?
I'm on a diet and so far lost 2 and a half stone, Saturday i'm going out for a Chinese and am wondering what the best thing to eat is? Calories and fat etc? I don't really know what to pick as i've stayed away from take aways and really don't want to put on any weight even if it's just 2lb! As, my weight loss is slowing down now and i've only been losing 2lbs a week and don't really want to be going backwards and spend another week losing what I put on! So, want the healthiest options available please?
Sensible answers only please, don't want any links for rubbish and quick fixes and just general junk!
Thanks x
I'm just sticking to a calorie controlled diet, that way you can have everything as long as it's weighed out. I also keep an eye on the fat i'm consuming too. It's all about re-educating yourself and a lifestyle change. But because i've been steering clear of take-aways I don't really know what's healthy and less calories!
I actually have a sweet tooth, so normally have sweet and sour dishes but I know they are cooked in loads of sauce and I know that's where the calories are.
Joe answers:
1. You should enjoy yourself once in a while =]
2. Vegetables are the best bet, it they are in a clear sauce they are good for you, if not then it means they have put soy in which will have higher calories.
I always have vegetable stirfry :)
3. Black bean, if you see any meals in black bean sauce they are the best bet, and instead of ordering egg fried rice or vegetable fried rice, go with boiled :) x x

Which diet pill has your vote?
Which diet pill has your vote?
I am doing some research on diet pills. From what I have found so far the best working ones are Lipvox, Ephedrasil, Slim Quick, and Zalestrim.
Although Lipvox and Ephedrasil seem the best, they are VERY expensive about $100 a bottle. So, I am looking more at Slim Quick and Zalestrim.
Slim Quick claims they are the best for woman, attacking fat areas that give woman problems. If it works as well as it says it does, than its worth it for the price.
Zalestrim claims to aid in weight loss, says that it "awakens" the hormones and tissues in the breasts, enhancing them slightly, and it also claims to have a sexual stimulant. This one also sounds reasonable for the price - if it works.
I am mainly looking for opinions on the last two products, but if you have used the first two let me know what you thought. I am NOT looking for your opinion on diet pills in general, I don't want to hear how you feel are "bad"...My question is which one of these do you prefer, do you know work? Thanks.
Joe answers:
Phentermine is fairly cheap - under $40 per bottle but only lasts for 2 weeks. Works great
