Read More About Quick Body Fat Loss Tips

Maria asks…

Most efficient way to burn fat, any tips please and few questions from me?

During this summer I've been doing strength/weight training however about a week ago a fitness trainer did some calculations and had me hold onto this machine that concluded my body is 26.9% fat :( . And after hearing that 23% is considered very poor, I am concerned. I am 18, 190lbs, 5' 11" . I know for my age I won't have any troubles for now however I'd like to diminish the problem for when I am older.

So anyway....

I decided to completely drop weight lifting and go straight to cardio work like treadmill and bicycle and some other machine that's like the bicycle but with arms. My goal is to drop 10 lbs and maintain weight at 180 and hope i grow an inch or two :P. I know the main objective is to output (work) more than i input (eat) and eventually I'll lose weight however I was wondering if that's more efficient methods. Like is doing cardio only going to progress it faster because I read weight lifting is actually good for fat loss. I'm also declining my intake of snacky foods :) I'm sure this will progress it quicker.

Joe answers:

Ideally calorie counting is pointless in a diet. The best way to lose weight is to get none of your calories from carbs and sugar. Eating something else such as cheese, meat, vegetables or fruit will not only reduce calories and make you feel fuller, but also be used more as energy then stored as fat. When carbs and sugar are eaten your body tells itself to release insulin. Insulin tells your body to store the food as fat. If you eat meat or veggies your body will convert the protein and other nutrition into energy. This is why low carb diets work so well. When you eat carbs you won't get full because its being stored as fat instead of energy for you body. You keep eating because you are fat. Not the other way around. The best way is to eliminate carbs. If you believe in evolution you know our ancestors didn't eat grains. Agriculture was invented by man 10,000 years ago. If you go and see some African tribes you will notice that they can eat all the fatty meat they want and not get fat. So just avoid carbs, and don't eat TOO much. But of course you can spoil yourself once in a while.

In terms of excersize you want about 30-60 minutes of cardio a day about 4 times a week. This may include sports, walking and occasional sprints, jogging, bike riding, and if you're always in the house pick up the game DDR. Everytime you go on the internet or watch T.V. Think " I could be running a marathon. " If you want you may consider strengh training which is lifting weights etc.

Metabolism also affects you. It is how many calories your body burns. To increase metabolism there are a few tricks I know of.
1. Turn the shower cold for a few seconds at a time.
2. Eat some spicy food.
3. Take some digestive enzynes.
4. Most importantly have 6 small meals every 3 hours in your day.

If you follow these rules the fat should come off pretty quickly.

Good luck to you my good sir.

David asks…

Is weight loss for children easier?

I'm 5'0 tall....12 years old....and 150 pounds. My mom and doctor are obviously concerned and stuff...but the other day, my mom told me to start losing weight now as I'm a kid because If i get MORE fatter as i become an adult, its going to be even more harder to lose all this fat. She said something about children's fat not being as stubborn as adults because it hasn't been in your body for so long? Now my mom is no doctor..but is this true?? and some tips for MY weight loss would be great. :)

Please..don't say.."oh, your OBESE....consult a doctor..get medical ATTENTION QUICK!!

I already did....so screw off and answer the question above ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Joe answers:

It is true, it is easier to lose weight when you are a kid! This may turn out to be really long but it isn't me lecturing or anything mean, it is me trying to help!

Some things you can do are drink more water! Sound cliche and silly but its true! You body stores fat, and all when it thinks it needs it later because it is dehydrated. If you give it more water it won't feel the need to store it. I know that wording didn't really make sense but bare with me, I am a teenager! :p. I'll put a link to an article about it.

Also you don't have to totally cut out junk food just limit it! A big problem is limiting the 'bad' foods, say you open a big bag of chips don't sit there with the bag of chip in front of you, you will never know when to stop or how much you ate! Get a small bowl and fill it up this way you limit yourself and don't go back for seconds! Don't forget to have a glass of water with it, it will make you feel fuller, and more satisfied, less likely to want more.

Do you ever feel hungry just because you are bored? Like you are not actually hungry you just want something to do? Have a piece of gum! And a glass of water! Oh gosh, I sound crazy! But just try it :) there is no harm. Did you know many people have trouble telling the difference between hungry and thirst?

Another thing is have more fruit! Instead of grabbing a cupcake have a peach or watermelon or your favorite fruit, try it at least once or twice a day. You can still have some junk food but try to limit yourself, it would be awesome if you could cut it out totally but who can do that when your young, like come on? :p. Hahah.

And eat more vegetables with dinner and lunch. Instead of french fries have green beans or something. Instead of mashed potatoes have broccoli. Vegetables should be colorful! You can also chew on carrots as snacks when you are hungry outside of meal time.

OH WAIT THIS ONE IS REALLY IMPORTANT: no soda, no soda, no soda!!!! When you are a restaurant get a lemonade or... Water :p. Soda does really bad things to your kindeys and other organs and there is so many calories and sugar in it and causes you to gain weight. Simply cutting out all soda can greatly aid you in losing weight.

... And of course EXERCISE.. But, I am not one to comment on that one, I am not a really big exerciser lol. Walking, jogging, jumping jacks if you don't have access to a gym. Look up zumba if you like dancing, a lot of people love that. Cardiovascular exercise if KEY for losing weight so you can google that for other activities.

Another random tip: Don't lay down after eating, it makes it harder for your organs to digest weight could make you gain weight.

Good Luck! (: Message me if you need further assistance.

Linda asks…

Get a bikini body fast?

usually my diet is:

2 meals - chocolate cereal with low fat milk for breakfast, usually meat or toastie for dinner

Snacks - usually drinks, today I ate alot and had loads of mints, a few squares of turkish delight chocolate and five or six truffle chocoy things. Other days at most I have a cookie.

Exercise - apart from diving at the weekend and PE at school no exercise, aprt from twisting on the computer chair and biking in the mornings.

I'm 133 pounds and around 5'5/5'6 (1.66m).

would appreciate any tips on how to get a quick bikini body, don't tell me i need to eat more, etc. I've been eating like this for nearly a year and I've never taken a day of school due to illness. I've noticed a loss of wieght once I stopped swimming.

Also, would love to have slim theighs :)

Joe answers:

Maybe you should try changing up your workout a bit. There are many different type of workouts

that you can read on and choose one that best suites you. Dieting is also just as important as

exercise, if not more. Check out these different workouts and choose one that you like.

Good luck and get discouraged!!!
